OpenTrust Verify — Incoming Crypto Payment Verification

OpenTrust Verify (OTV) is a crypto payment verification system designed to verify incoming cryptocurrency payments and blockchain transaction information.

Verify Incoming Crypto Payments

OTV helps businesses and applications determine whether an incoming crypto payment has been received and meets the required verification conditions.

How OpenTrust Verify Works

OTV evaluates transaction information and blockchain payment evidence to determine the verification status of an incoming cryptocurrency payment.

What you send

A check is POST /v1/verify/incoming. The body names the chain, the network, the transaction hash, and the recipient. An asset and an expected amount are optional. The API reads the chain through a chain adapter and returns a signed verdict. Clients can verify that signature. They do not mint the verdict.

What the status means

The status is one of OBSERVED, PENDING, EXECUTED, ASSET_CONFIRMED, BALANCE_CONFIRMED, FINAL, SPENDABLE, REJECTED, SUSPICIOUS, or UNVERIFIED. A seen transaction is not execution, a transfer, a balance increase, finality, or spendable funds. SPENDABLE is allowed only after FINAL. Ethereum mainnet uses 12 confirmations, Bitcoin mainnet uses 6, Solana mainnet uses 32, and Tron mainnet uses 19. Other networks use the depth in the registry.

Where it runs

The registry covers Ethereum and other EVM networks, Bitcoin, Solana, and Tron. On an EVM network the token identity is the contract address, including ERC-20, ERC-721, and ERC-1155. GET /v1/chains, GET /v1/networks, and GET /v1/assets return the live lists. A mock adapter is labeled and is not live chain proof.

What OTV does not do

OTV does not custody assets, broadcast transactions, or accept a seed or private key. Verification follows the evidence in a fixed order. The product is not a television or streaming service. OpenTrust Verify (OTV) means incoming crypto payment verification.
